Key Features & Benefits
Feature | Description & Benefit |
---|---|
Anti-frizz / humidity control | It “waterproofs” hair by forming an invisible barrier that repels moisture, helping prevent frizz even in high humidity. |
Heat-activated technology | The formula is activated when you blow-dry hair (with tension) — the heat causes a polymer system to seal and smooth each strand. |
Lasts multiple washes | One application can last through 3–4 shampoos (or around 2–3 on some claims) before reapplication is needed. |
Lightweight, non-greasy feel | Despite sealing hair, it’s marketed as “ultra-light” and not weighing hair down or leaving greasy residue. |
Gloss / “glassy” finish | Leaves hair super glossy, smooth, “glassy” and sleek in appearance. |
Heat protection | The spray gives some protection from blow-drying heat (with upper recommended temperature limits). |
Free-from / gentle formula aspects | No parabens, no sulfates, gluten-free. |
Silicone / polymer system | It uses silicones / silicone-derivative polymers (e.g. Polysilicone-29, SiliconeQuaternium-18) to coat hair fibers. |
Botanical extracts | It includes chamomilla (chamomile) and calendula flower extracts to help smooth and condition. |
Usage & Limitations / Considerations
-
Application method: After shampooing & conditioning, towel-dry hair (to damp, not dripping wet). Spray liberally and evenly in sections. Do not apply other wet stylers at this stage. Then blow-dry under tension to “activate” the formula.
-
Temperature limits: For “normal to coarse hair,” don’t exceed ~ 380 °F (≈ 193 °C). For fine or chemically treated hair, stay below ~ 300 °F (≈ 149 °C)
-
Reapplication frequency: Use it every 3–4 shampoos, not every wash.
-
Not a stand-alone styling product: It is primarily an anti-humidity / sealing treatment. You can apply styling products after the blow-dry (not before, when hair is wet).
-
Performance varies: In very humid climates or with extremely coarse / porous hair, results may be less perfect. Some users say it “reduces puffiness and helps maintain a blowout, but it can’t work miracles.” Ingredient caution: Although the formula is marketed as “free-from” many harsh additives, it does have DMDM hydantoin (a preservative that can release small amounts of formaldehyde).
